Bitcher & Prickman law firm comic strip synopsis: Richard Prickman tells Beatrice Bitcher that the new case they have could be worth tens of millions of dollars. Beatrice replies that they need to get the case filed in a court favorable to them. But how. The previous clerk has been indicted, moreover it's all electronic filing now -- i.e., computer roulette wheel. Prickman recalls when $100 would get a case filed in the court you wanted. Whatever happened to the human touch, he asks. Beatrice replies that those were the good old days when people cared enough about each other to take bribes. 09.28.09
